Need to send payments for purchases to individuals in Germany. They all request uberweisung. I have paypal, but they do not accept. I also have Moneybookers, but have reached credit card upload limit and bank transfer is too expensive. Any suggestions appreciated.

I don't see what the problem is.
I'm German and have very often received payments from the USA without any issues at all - even larger amounts. Why not just do a bank transfer/ ueberweisung to them?

The problem is that a bank transfer from the U.S. costs $40+ - this is very high given that the normal purchase is $40 - $100

If seller is trustworthy, you can go with Western Union -- might cost $20 or so.

Anyone in EU who also has Paypal that would be willing to forward uberweisung payments for me? I would be willing to pay a reasonable fee for your time. Nothing bad going on - I am just buying some model trains on E-bay. It is hard to get the european trains on E-bay in USA, but easy on Ebay.de

Wells Fargo offers a checking account w/ online wire transfers. If you're going to be doing a lot of this, it may be worth opening an account.

I think you should ask on some German forums, but I'm not sure is this safe to send money via unknown person.
