Sending Emails To Newsletter List

I currently use VPS to send bulk mail to newsletter, opted in emails.

I find this VPS is not very good and dont really need the features it has and want simple cpanel server.

But shared hosting has limit of 500 emails per hour.

    I may need more limit.

So apart from things like mailchimp etc.. is there a good cheap solution, i dont bulk mail every day, so maybe even a pay as you go like service. I heard of cloud solutions but dont know of any. OR is SMTP the asnswer. It has to be less than £12/month

I use phplist.com for a small newsletter that I send out weekly to about 450 subscribers. They charge by monthly emails sent and I pay $5 per month for up to 2,000 emails sent. They are cheap and they provide email support that has been excellent.

    What about MailChimp?

Since it's free for up to 2,000 subscribers & 12,000 emails.

yes it is depends on your hosting provider and first ask your hosting provider for bulk emails and do not spam bulk emails otherwise your hosting account will be suspended

I use paid Aweber (recommended by IM experts) and free mailpoet (self-hosted) which is very good.

Honestly don't send bulk emails. If you want to make good *primetime* money, strictly stick to opt-in lead generation. I know you already do this in your business, but make it a priority. You will lose alot of money in the long run with bulk mailing.

I use mandrill which is the backend of mailchimp. You get even more emails per month and the cost for overs is cents.

You do need to do a bit of coding but if you are already maintaining an online CRM system then it's painless.

My client uses cakephp and it took about 30 minutes to code it all up and now they don't have to worry about syncing lists, our unsubscribes go direct to their website and straight into the database. Mandrill literally just does the send. It can do more but that's all we need.

I forgot to mention earlier that I've just been doing some research on keeping newsletters away from spam filters and one of the points that was raised was to drip feed the emails so that yahoo / gmail etc don't suddenly get a rush of emails and freak out. Those servers who throttle your send rate might just be doing you a favour.
