Sandbox is what google will do to your site until you've proven yourself worthy of being listed in their serp's. To avoid (speculation that it can be avoided) or to, at the very least, shorten your stay in the sandbox, your best to do the following; 1. Learn how to use DP search function, I mean c'mon there is a whole THREAD dedicated to this topic :S 2. Don't be lazy, refer to #1 if there is confusion. Start by adding quality content to your site. Good, keyword content is what, by nature, search engines look for, like, and reward. 3. Step 2 will greatly aid in step 3 which is obtain quality links. You'll probably, depending on your content's subject manner and your sites age (I'm assuming approx. 4 months old or less), experience some difficulty obtaining authorative links right off the bat(PR7+ is considered authorative, I believe, but someone can correct me, or refer to step 1) Now, fast forward 5-6 months and you'll hopefully get out of sandbox (if you're in it) and have a wealth of rewardable content, links (don't forget keyword rich anchor text), and a much better grasp of SEO. Tadda, Sandbox in a nutshell.
