Semi-retired, starting a new career as webmaster

Hi folks, my name is Sheldon, but folks over at WPW know me as Doc. That was taken here, so used an old nick, Doc2626. I've been dabbling in website design/build for a couple of years, but just recently started studying the more sophisticated stuff like css, php, etc. If there's a stupid question section, I'll often be found there. If there isn't one, well....maybe there's now a need.

I was told that DP is a great place to learn, which is my main purpose.

On the personal side:

I'm 57 y/0, married, with an 18 y/o daughter still at home, a grandfather three times over, and living in Baja California, Mexico (the cost of living is GREAT!). I will offer opinions, when I have one, and I'll try to help when I can offer something worthwhile. Otherwise, I tend to shut up and listen...I find I learn more that way.

Ex-Navy, conservative, a WYSIWYG kind of guy. I'm looking forward to getting to know a lot of you folks, and picking your brains. Feel free to pick mine,too...it won't take long!
