Dear forum readers: Please be patient with me.... Am grabbing at straws because I downloaded Apache 2.2 files, went to a man, Peter, at a Best Buy who got Apache running on the store's Wifi on my Intel 3 Windows 7 pc, only I configured it as Manual, instead of Automatic. Now, finally, I have a static IP with Comcast! He mentioned if I had any more questions, to go to you forum guys, who have knowledge. So now I amassed my configuration info from Comcast of Gateway, Usable, Sub net mask, Primary DNS, and Secondary DNS, and went to Best Buy for maybe 5 minutes' worth of help to reconfigure. In the one month, Peter left or quit, etc. No one else there has their own Apache static IP at their home! I'm now once again adrift on an iceberg. I finally realized that comparatively speaking, I KNOW NOTHING! All I have now is an Apache starup window, but without verifiable communication through Comcast by my pc, even though Comcast line shows perfect data streaming. Am up a creek without a paddle until people have mercy on me. Oh, and a month ago someone had said to download an Apache package, I forget the name of it, but they specifically warned against deployers like myself needing security. So please, tell me the HARD WAY to configure, and I will be very grateful for any extra work, if anyone could please point it out. Spinning my wheels, Yshua
