SEM vs SEO who wins?

If we use SEM then possibility of high bounce rate is more than organic seo.

 

My vote is for SEO.

The combination will give a new winner.

 

SEO is always come first. because SEO generates organic traffic. the traffic come from serch engine is most value able traffic. because they are searching for service. SEM also generates good traffic but that traffic is not Useful as compare to SEO.

SEM would be the better option simply because it is specifically targeted for marketing, while SEO can be used for marketing, it is the long way of going about it, it would depend on your niche, the traffic, and the competition to effective use SEO against SEM

 

Both of them are works, just like you can drive from your home to Xcity by using road A or road B.
You can still reach the city and each of them has their advantage and disadvantage

This price been only example and strictly depending from keywords.
I'll tell you how I'm working.

1. Make a audience of client website, which kind of service offering, which necesary changes needed in website code to be friendly for search engines.
2. Then make Keywords research and use it as part time SEM, also in same moment I am check, how many other website use it, how hard its get top ranked position for each of them.
3. For keywords whitch have best conversation I'll make second keywords research witch long tail relative to this keywords.
4. Full list of keywords now again are checked use SEM (conversation etc. )
5. Now I can start to do SEO, and necesary changes in website code. Until client not have top ranked own website for each keyword then use SEM.
6. Client stop paying for SEM, start paying for me, pay for RESULTS, not for PROMISES
7. We're both happy, in longer cooperative looking for more keywords, expand client service and more grows.

What is important here
NEVER my price is not higher like 1/2 (usually 1/4 - 1/3, 1/2 for very havy keywords) of price which necesary for take same conversation use SEM.
Also, client NEVER can do it better like me, because not have enought knowledge and not have hundreds pressel pages and many other things which have decide role in succes in SEO.

So now, we can count.
For my SEO service client pay for example $1000, for SEM must to pay $2000-$8000 to take same traffic and conversation.
Do you see diference NOW ?

IN SUMMARY: If you would like waste each month $1000 - $7000 based on count above, then you can use SEM all time. Your choice.

@susan_ham - SEM NEVER not will bring more traffic like SEO based on same keywords, because people at first checking natural results, when not will find what looking for then usually click at SEM advertising.
Here can be diference between 2x - 10x and above traffic from SEO like from SEM.

SEM vs SEO winning only in few situatuations.
a) if you have for example small local shop or other local service then SEM can target visitors only from this small region.
b) if you need immediality traffic.
c) in SEM you can change keywords each day.
and some much less important ....

search engine optimization is a part of search engine marketing. so there is no question of who wins in SEM Vs SEO.

You can do SEM withoout any inPage optimalization use for example G.Adwords
You can't do SEO without inPage optimalization or can but it will be much harder and more expensive, also take longer time.

 

I believe it:
SEO is something to work the keywords and site structure.
SEM is to think the best way to convert the search in site traffic and thus increase the goal that it has.

 

According to me SEO is part of SEM, SEM include everything related search marketing, even PPC. But SEO is nothing but a part of SEM process, SEO is the search engine optimization to drive free traffic to your site through search engine site.

as SEO is Time taking process, but that effect with long time on high ranking on search engine, where SEM not make any sure ranking on any search engine.
