    Hello,

I want to spend some money on all three of these.. which gives the highest ROI ?

What ratio should I divide the spending budget in? example " 35 % sem, 35% seo, 30 % smo "

What the difference in all three of them.

Which companies would you refer / suggest ? cost effective ones preferably from india

Your best bet is to read the free stuff available here on the forum. There are entire threads dedicated to this stuff. You need a basic understanding before you can even begin to understand the principles. Don't expect to learn anything valuable by asking to be spoonfed. What you'll most likely get is seo firms trying to market to you.

SEM: SEM is search Engine Marketing. It includes marketing of website with organic and inorganic methods. Organic methods includes all free methods such as SEO while Inorganic methods consists of PPC (Pay Per Click). So SEM consists of SEO and PPC both. PPC is done to get quick results but you have to pay for each hit your site get from that source.

SEO: As said earlier SEO is organic method to attract visitors to your site. In this method website is optimized (On-Page Optimization and Off Page Optimization) to get high SERP rankings for profitable keywords related to your website.

SMO: SMO is social media optimization in which you use social media to attract visitors on your site. Popular social media sites such as Digg, Twitter, Stumble Upon, etc.

Now which method to use for maximum ROI?

This question is not that straight as it looks. ROI depends upon which type of site you have, which industry you are targeting, what are your goals etc.

For Example you are running a Site that is related to latest technology, gadget reviews etc. i mean to say informative sites and you are going to earn through Adsense etc. then SMO is best. Community on social media site love to read informative things and so you can make your site popular easily.

Now if you are starting a site that is basically made for lead generation or affiliate marketing then spending to much time on Social media is worthless. In this case you need good rankings on search engines for particular keywords related to your site. It's all about getting targeted visitors on your site that are actually looking for products you are selling.

So to distribute your efforts and money on different methods you need to understand what your goals are. Then you can easily crack out which is most suitable for you in long term.

Generally speaking SEO will offer you the best ROI, PPC can help in the short-term (and for testing of keywords) but you will really get your CPA (cost per action or acquisition) down in the long-term with good SEO.

As we already know SEO is a long term process. Google Always credit in search ranking to Old sites. If our site is new and if we want instant traffic then always go for paid marketing that is SEM and SMO. With SEM and SMO also put SEO in your online marketing strategy.

Once when your site become old and you done enough with SEO then you can think of to leave SEM & SMO.

For all new sites who need visitors keep on coming then SEM is advisable till your SEO clicks in search engines.

    Thanks,

SEM and SMO are not paid marketing. SEM is SEO+PPC. SEO is totally free while PPC is paid.
SMO is absolutely free. You don't need to pay any money to any Social Media to join and to promote your site.
