A forum is most of the times really easy to position in the search engines, due to its constantly updating home page and thousands of internal pages naturally “targeting” specific keywords and key phrases, not to mention that it is also a great way to develop a long term and solid relationship between you and your visitors.

BUT… forums as a rule have a conversion and click through rates BELOW average…

So… there is where the directory plays its part…

I'm just selling womensforum.net.

Sadly, I don't own womensforum.com... I'd be rich if I did!

Womensforum.com is a huge community that receives 10 million unique visitors/month, has 6 million registered members and displays 250 million ad views/month.

Womensforum.net (the one I'm selling) would perhaps always have the shadow of the "big sister" site over it, but just imagine if you achieve 1/10 of the traffic and ad views the .com does.

Besides, the .com is not really being used as a forum. If you go and see it you will find thousands of interesting articles, mostly provided by a network of more than 100 content partners, but it doesn’t really have a place where to place YOUR OWN posts.... and there are no discussions... and you can not even add comments to the articles… so... it's not really a forum.

Just imagine how popular the site would become if you'd just let regular women talk and discuss about anything freely!

The other domain, womendirectory.com is IMO a perfect complement to the forum, as you can set there a paid listings service, a directory of products and services generating affiliate revenue, and many other things to help you monetize the traffic generated in the forum.

You should maybe change the mistake in your original post, as people see you referencing to the Womensforum.com domain
