You can't sell the site to 2 or more persons when there is one site in question only. You also cannot collect money and not give them what they paid for.

You should know what you have done is wrong on both accounts.

Seems this guy has no respect for online payments. He should have. If I was the victim I would go to my lawyer as soon as possible. This guy is online here and he does own a few websites and Im sure hes totally able to trace.

So now run talk to your lawyer and then call paypal and hopefully your lawyer has giving you the information how to proceed.

Contacting a lawyer about 500 bucks website issue? It's less than a typical hour rate.

 

Im sorry, I have friends. And who is a lawyer and friends help eachothers so the hour rate is not a problem for me.

I would contact paypal and file a case against him.

 

Take this guy to the cleaners, he doesn't diserve special treatment. He sees that people are taking his little attempt at fraud seriously and wants to make it all better by putting a bandaid on it. If there's anything you can do to stop him from doing this again, do it. Stay within the boundries of the law though.

 

I almost bought the vietdownloads site from him too. Glad I waited to see this thread. He's been pming me about paying fast to get the site. I had a hunch something smelled.

 

I bought the site from him unfortunately... paid half in advance - fortunately not the entire sum.

What do you recommend?

Well, I filed at paypal and this guy told paypal I paid for a membership at the site (??), and that they don't do moneybacks... heh I don't think e-mailing him would help.

 

Maybe his host pdclan.com can help with info (if its not the same guy that is running pdclan).

 

Lesson to be learned:

Never pay by paypal with only a comment like "money for xxx.com"

Clearly state what your giving the person the money for, domain names, files, forum, exclusive purchase of database(s), design, psd files, etc.......

That way when you do make a claim its a much simpler case of, did he transfer all of above? No. Dispute resolved, money back.

Been there, done it and learned form it.

Avis, file a dispute with Paypal, if you haven't already.

This guy's domain registration info is bogus. He lives in Maryland, and that's where we'll find him.

Also, if you have online access to your bank, email support and ask that they cancel or chargeback the transaction. My transaction is still in a state of "Pending", which means it can be canceled.

The bank will also investigate this guy for fraud. He can run, but he can't hide.
