Selling two free hosting sites

I am selling as a package two free hosting sites. Hostaim has around 5500 users and mixiroo has around 1,000 users. My adsense account has been disabled, due to some knuckleheads continuing to put adult sites up, the money will be to convert the sites to a paid hosting or if they upgrade. I have neither done anything with either. Top bid wins, only serious bidders paying through paypal, and I will stop the sale when I feel the price and timing are appropriate. Thanks for looking.

I have not set a bin or price for the package, the server for mixiroo is 10 a month and hostaim is 180 a month, but both could be put on the hostaim server. But again, I do not have a bin in mind, I will be unloading these two sites in the next two days though.

How much space/bandwidth is used, what were your profit margins (with proof), traffic, etc, etc...

 

Sorry about your adsense account, I'm thinking of doing something similar ... I guess you wouldn't recommend it?

I wonder if sending an email to google will restore your account? Because as I know, sites like friendster.com has a few users putting up adult pictures and they still have their adsense ads up.. the adult accounts probably do not last long because of friendster's policy, maybe that's the reason their google ads are still there ... at least they are working on each account. What do you think about this?

 

OK are the hosting servers also included with this sale or the buyer has to arrange his own?
Can you provide me the hosting usage per month i mean Diskspace and Bandwidth used per month?

No bin is set, just in two days, I will sell the sites. The hostaim site uses less than 1,000 GB bandwidth monthly, although at layeredpanel.com you can have up to 2,000 GB monthly. This is from the admin panel and stats for November (all months average about the same) Nov 2007 1782 (unique visitors) 34042 (number of visits) 2877566 (pages) 4254754 (hits)261.95 GB (bandwidth). The site has been around since March 2007, and has been very steady all of the months. The most adsense I made with the site was around 600 a month, but it was around 150 or so a month on the average. The suggestion about emailing probably would help, I do not want to run the websites anymore. I do not have the knowledge to tweak the site, make a sales page for paid conversion, switch the users to paid hosting, etc. Heck, even the support site has an error, that I think would be easy to fix, but I can't do it, that is why I am selling the sites. Mixiroo is very steady also, probably could convert well, as I have some loyal people on this site. It is actually a pretty good site for free hosting, and probably would have many of the sites paying 99 cents per month for continuation of their hosting. That is about all I have to say now, thanks.

I would say that someone can take over my servers from softlayer.com (my server host with hostaim) with no problem. You can contact them and see. The server is paid on the 28th I believe, of each month. Month to month deal. That is all for now.

What software do you use for the sites, how many of those 5500 are just spam sites do you believe?

 

I use layeredpanel on hostaim and shp on mixiroo.com. I would say there is a good number of inactive sites, you can scrub the inactive sites, which I try to do some, and I try to look at the newest sites about 5 times a day and have deleted thousands of sites which I felt were inappropriate. There is an automatic scrubber with layeredpanel, which is actually a horse of a software for free web hosts, as many here can testify to. The license and webdesign on hostaim were very expensive, I am guessing 650 dollars for the set up of this site and building of the site initially.
