    Not familair with snews. Does this run on PHP/Apache/MySQL? I assume the articles are stored in a database somewhere and all come from free article sites?

    Yes this is php/mysql cms with only one php file and one template file.
    All articles now are from free article sites but you can start posting your articles.
    You can easy add news and categories in admin panel.
