selling subdomains

I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this but here goes anyway!

I am thinking about buying a domain with which I can sell / rent subdomains. I am trying to think of the logistics of this from a hosting point of view - My knowledge of hosting is limited, but basically I would want everybody who had a subdomain to be able to log into just their area of the hosting setup... Is this feasible, and if so is it secure - I obviously wouldn't want someone to be able to easily hack into someone elses subdomain.

Is tehre a hosting solution that is designed for this sort of thing that anyone has experience of?

    Any help appreciated.

I'll answer the question 'as is' and not try to ask how you are going to get people to pay. :)

-Just go here and ask for "low price re-seller account", you will get plenty of offers.
    http://www.freewebspace.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=30
-Use WHM (re-seller) panel to create an account for each sub-domain. They will all (except for real experienced hackers) have seperate, secure access to just their sub-domain.

    Best wishes

i was thinking the same question but maybe like a better service than just a free hosting with limited space?

Oh, that domain covers both free and paid.
The section I recommended was for low-priced paid re-seller hosting.
