Selling proxy website - 1.5 million page views/month

Hi,

I am interested in selling my proxy website. The site has two website address, the main one is www.proogle.net and then www.pruxy.info but the majority of traffic flows through proogle.

The site was setup in late last year and has since grown to receive around 4000 uniques and 1.5 million page views a month with the majority of traffic coming from the USA and UK followed by various other websites.

I have spent $15 of promotion for it which was myspace postings but apart from that it has had nothing.

The site runs on a unique design which will also be sold along with it and runs on phproxy script.

I am selling because it is putting quite a bit of load on my vps and some of the other clients who host with my are complaining of the speed of the server.

As for income, i am guessing because i have several sites running through 1 adsense account and as anyone who uses adsense will know the channels suck but i can guess $1-2 a day. This could be significantly increased with different methods, i haven't really done much with the income.

I am on the fence about selling it. it really depends on the price i would get but i am not willing to sell for less than $200 which would cover the costs that have been incurred on me and a little bit of profit but would like more.

Please take note that the traffic has been significantly increasing each month and the traffic is not trash traffic from iran or something but from USA and UK.

I know you said you did myspace advertising. I would be interested to know how you got most of your traffic from italy?Bottom of page

 

@Computer(Jew) - i am unsure of its requirements but i currently have a vps with 512mb ram and it struggles sometimes. but remember i have 35 other accounts on it which have equivelant combined traffic and i am running cpanel which is quite thirsty. i would think you can run it from with a lot lower than my spec.

@mr_bill - i am not sure how they get their figures but mine are not even remotely similar and since mine are gathered internally from a locally hosted monitoring system. if it is true i have no idea where the traffic has come from. i paid for 500 comment posts of the service to myspace but to be honest didn't get much success through it and hasn't really affected my traffic. i did the myspace comments in early april (you can check my rating for proof).

it does have around 50,000-100,000 page views a day and the majority of the traffic is from UK & US.

 

Page views = huge bandwidth. The uniques count, not the pageviews.

 

yes the less pageviews/visit you have, the more $$/unique. I have around 2000 uniques a day and only 20,000 pageviews, but i'm earning over $30 a day and use only 50gb per month.
