you can also make way more if a CPM network such as Valueclick. This month's Adsense earnings was at $42

I also sold a banner on the website for one month for $50, I haven't actively advertised the ad space nor have I tried sites like
text-link-ads.com which i imagine would make a good extra monthly income.

Why would Myspace in the domain ruin it? I think its a great site and domain.

 

Myspace regularly sends out C&D letters for trademark infringement to webmasters using myspace in their domain.

The crackdown has gotten even more intense lately.

 

Thanks George, not sure why the name isnt good, you can always get a new name, move the site files over and do a 301 redirect to the new domain to pass the rankings over to the new site.
Just saw your reply, I never got anything from Myspace and there are still lots of sites with myspace in the domain and their doing fine, the C&D letters story started more than a year ago and nothing happened since then.

 

You need to remove the images next to the ads on the homepage before you get reported. Your Adsense earnings might drop considerably after that, so keep that in mind

 

Yeah I was considering doing the 301 thing.

Actually, FarmerOak, You may put images besides an ad if there is a line separating them (which there is) So no need to worry about that.

 

Well, you'll likely lose most of the traffic pertaining to "myspace". I'm not sure if that'll be a big deal or no since we don't have a referral list, but something to consider.

Please refrain from posting if you dont have something useful to add or to bid, as for the "myspace" keyword, the ranking has nothing to do with the domain, the ranking was acheived through a strong link building campaign, keywords in domain names hold little value for rankings on Google.

How much have you spent on advertising?

 

The only advertising I did was buying links for 3 and 6 months on other arcade sites, total was $150 and most links still have 2-5 months left in their paid period, I can provide the buyer with a full list of these websites.
