There are many ways you can go about this. In order to assist you, you would need to let it be known how you plan to deliver the newsletter.

If this is an "online newsletter" type website you could offer a member based site that would require registration prior to accessing content. For this, ready made scripts are available.

Joomla - offers a decent solution and there is a module / contribution called "iJoomla Magazine" that works nicely for an application such as this.

I'd say in this financially turbulent environment, the world needs some value investing! Good luck. I hope you'll post the link up here when you're done.

my choice of delivery i think will be pdf (yes, someone will take it and start posting it on warez forums if its any good).

actually i do not think it will be a newsletter. but more technical reports on stocks and companies. however it should be fairly readable with basic knowledge in accounting and finance.

i was originally thinking of charging a subscription fee, but looking that there are lot of free services out there provided by much bigger brokerage houses, i dont think i will stand a big chance. i am currently a junior analyst at a small fund, and have a bachelors degree, as well as running my own investment club. of course i dont think this will cut it with people in G.S. and lehman(oh right they went under). Even though im thinking of focusing on obscure stocks with potential undervalued market price, i dont know what the general demand for these things are. (this is the only advantage i have, in that i can't focus on mainstream companies). I will post up a few reports, and see what the reaction is like.

btw, is there a template for these kind of stock research reports ?

my philosophy is that investing should be ultimatley an independent endeavour. once one has accrued a certain level of understanding of the markets and business should focus on independent thinking. of course i have long way to go, but from what i've read and after talking with a few fund managers, too many times, the big guys start thinking alike, leading to herd behavior. my choice is value investing because it lets me focus on small pool of areas that I am very familiar with and in general its quite conservative and academic in practice. i think growth has too many assumptions in generating numbers ( i think it will be easier to write since you can throw in so many BS material).
