Hello all, I have rent a local store and I want some advice on how to get the clients to buy from my local store. any ideas, recommendations!
You put up a big sign in the front window which reads: UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT EVERYTHING ON SALE FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH!
Have a "Grand Opening" and launch it with a press release for your local social media, newspaper, radio, and TV business news departments. Focus the storyline on how you are optimistically opening a new business in anticipation of the lockdowns ending and 2021 being a better business year.
Or have a closeout sale that never ends. My wife pointed out one store at the local mall that has had the closeout sale for 2 years now. Who are they foolin'?
Do a promotion with physiotherapists, chiropracters, yoga teachers, maybe even hairdressers - anyone who has a lot of client contact and is into healthcare but not a doctor. Get them talking to their clients about your store.
You can do a local promotion in your area so that they can see and walk to your store. You can also do some local digital campaigns within the area of your local store. Social networking should work well.
Medium budget Idea: => Advertise in local facebook groups/classfields aobut doing a "lottery" where everyone who buys something can leave their details and have a chance to win a prize. then do a prize draw for something cool. Or if you where every kid coming to the store gets something fun. like a paper mask or something . (ideas stolen from one of the "what the highs street was like" videos. ...no idea if it was this one or another one from the series, i'm not rewatching it to find out => link: youtube.com/watch?v=DF4jq_CjQIQ )
It will be a good idea to use social media to advertise your products. Most are going digitally and are using different social media apps.
I think you should also start doing an online shop. Or at least do an online shopping service in your shop.
Just sit in the store and see if people comes to buy stuff from your store? What's the point of owning a real store worth lacks of Dollars if you have to advertise on Facebook. If you are spending on rent then you shouldn't need to advertise the store. If you feel the need to advertise then go for ecommerce costing just $2 or less to host Woocommerce website.
If it's a local store, online promotion is not enough, you need offline promotion as well, maybe some banners around the city or something like that.
You have taken the right decision to rent a real store as SEO is dead after Google Artificial Intelligence in search engines. or better invest in Google Stocks(Share Market) on Nasdaq as e-commerce boom is happening now atm. It has given 25% annual returns over last 10 years.
If you're looking for some traditional marketing approach here, then you should work on placing some direct ads on your store and maybe even make some leaflets that you will give to the passengers. But, no matter it's a local store, you should also promote it online, and work on local SEO as that way your store can be placed on the map that some nearby visitors can check in.
