Hi I have a site about music stuff, particular Chinese music, learn to sing and play piano and many more. Recently I started writing 1 Ebook, and then another, but I havent put it up for sale on my music site. This site is 40% about me and myself (like a blog) while 60% of it is like learning and informational. I intend to sell the 2 ebooks, but because some of the loyal users really treat me like a pro or talented musician, i feel bad trying to earn $ thru all these internet marketing stuff... Tell me what should I do ? My initial motives was to earn $$ thru websites... and since now with my list of email opt-in... what would you do ?
if your ebook is filled with info that would be beneficial to them, you don't need to feel guilty about charging. how about directly selling it from your site, but giving your faithful readers some sort of a discount. you could even start making videos, like in a lesson kind of setting and selling those too, maybe start a newsletter that gets published monthly and give out a discount code to those who sign up. it really could benefit all.
If i sell on clickbank, ill need a sales page. which means... anyway i started a thread on this ... asking on how to setup sales page... since im sort of selling "myself" like selling a singing album, that's why im trying to sell it on my site first
Do a search on ebook and music. Find other sales pages. Look at how they have structured it and then write your own Copy the structure, copy the language, use your own words.
First, get your site looking the way you want it to look. Then get it critiqued. Then start creating ads to be placed in other webmasters' sites. Then get those critiqued. Ask others, like family and friends and the posters here if they would click on such an ad if they were interested in it. There's your start.
Simply enough, state what you're selling to them. If you've got morals, don't make it sound so much better than it is. That way when they buy it, they get exactly what they paid for. No hard feelings.
I was afraid on the issue where users think why am i charging $$ for Ebooks instead of giving it for free. This is my site. http://www.singwithpiano.com Hope you guys don't mind mandarin or Asian stuff.
Some of the visitors are so willing to learn singing and piano ... I believe they don't mind spending to learn, comparing an ebook vs a private music lesson. Its like a fraction of it. But then again I introduce this site as a personal site, not like a pay-to-learn site... hmmm so its like im going thru a transition now.
