Okay, so im a bit of a noob when it comes to buying/selling domains.

i have a half built website - which i think could be quite a hot sell domain name, with the new furby boom toy expected to be one of the hottest selling toys this and next year.

I will be adding prestashop, which can accept credit card payments within the next few days, with listings of each of the 6 furby boom designs. This would be a good website for anyone who can aquire furby booms wholesale, and resell at retail.

What im basically asking, is the website has been created basekit site builder on hostgator, how would i transfer the built website over to someone else without selling my entire hostgator account and login details.

    thanks

If there is no traffic the value is $0 . I can register a domain and do the same you did. In 30 min is ready.

    is it really that simple?

i know anyone can register a domain, but isn't it about who thinks up the combo of words, and gets to it first?

also, other question was, how can i sell my domain/website, without selling my entire hostgator login details for whoever buys it.

@mukflash You draw up a simple contract with the buyer, after its signed, and the money is transferred you simply do a owner change, you can ask Hostgator how to do it in their control panel, since the process differs some in every control panel.

You can also use a Third party transfer service such as Escrow.com if you/the buyer dont trust the counterpart. I generally consider services such as Escrow as a really good thing when it comes to any larger deals. If its your average 10$ domain sale, escrow isn't necessary.

If you want to sell the domain based on its value, it really should be some demand for it, like a trend or other event that draws the price up. For example, owning a few dubstep domains was probably a good payoff when skrillex blew up and made the music genre main stream.

Im not sure that any Furby boom will be large enough to score cash on the domain, but if you believe it will, its worth a try.
