Selling Selling my best site

This is an ecommerce site that is nearly 2 years old. It is a PR3 site. Its one of the most popular ecommerce site in its niche. I have not been able to spend much time for the site in this year but still it makes sales almost every day. I sell hats on the site and more than 30k has been spend on seo and other marketing things over the years. A professional photo shoot was also done with a semi-popular model and cameraman in UNITED STATES. I have also done some free giveaway hats to recommend my site on popular blogs.

The results- The site is ranking for nearly FIVE HUNDRED keywords in the first few pages of google. Yes, 500 keywords.

Earlier it was ranking for nearly 600 keywords. Back then, the traffic was 500+ unique visits a day. This year, despite not speding much time, I get around 200-250 unique visits a day. I will also include the facebook fanpage which has around 2000 fans. The income is best during the month of november and december. The combined net profit in these two months are around 10k to 14k. The total sales for me in these two months were $23,439.82 with 50000 unique visits combined in these two months.

I had less products to advertise back then, still it made that much. With more products added recently, this year one can earn around 15k to 30k in these two months itself. The traffic spike is natural during these months becase of christmas, halloween, new year and other festivals. ( Nov and Dec) Also few months back, I have started accepting wholesale orders and I have created a dedicated site for the same. The wholesale site gets around 500-1000 unique visits a month and I do get wholesale inquiries from time to time.

I am yet to receive a sale from the wholesale site but I do receive wholesale orders sometimes from the main site itself. At the moment, the main site earns around 1.5k to 2k a month without much advertising expense. On some months, I spend around 100 to 200 dollar from the profit on seo. I pay around $100 per month for bigcommerce hosting for both sites. Someone with more time can earn around 5k to 10k a month. I have earned that much in the past. I am not able to close wholesale deals in my favor mainly because I don't give my phone no when requested and my lack of skills on closing the deal. However, I have still made some wholesale orders. A single wholesale order earns $200 to $300 and bigger orders can earn $1000+. So, the potential is huge if you are willing to spend some time. I have one repeat buyer for wholesale order. I earn few hundred dollars from him every month or two.

I can also show email proofs when I had an order which could have earned me as much as 4 to 5k in a single wholesale order. However, the buyer backed out at the last minute. So, the potential is huge.

All items are dropshipped from China. To increase sales, I have also developed relationship with few US sellers on ebay and I have added thier products. Even a hat that sells for $15 earns me $10 profit. So, the profit margin on most hats are more than 100%. Instead of dropshipping if you stock items, profit per month can be increased by 30 to 40% because I get good deals from the chinese supplier on wholesale orders and because of fast shipping, more orders will come. But since I am not based in US, I prefer the dropship model. Most customers are from USA but people from other western countries also order. As you may know the first position keyword gets more than 50% of the traffic, my site is ranking on position 1 for dozens of keywords. Also it is ranking on page one (positin 2, 3, 4 ,5 etc) for hundrds of keywords. By simply pushing these keywords to the first position, traffic can be increased by twice to four times within a month or two. Including a phone number on the site is another way to increase trust and therefore more sales.

I have manually added more than 500 hats on the site. I spend 15-30 minutes every day or alternate day to place order and to reply to emails. So, if you spend more time, you can recover your investment within 5-6 months or within a years time. I am in no haste to sell this site so the price is firm. Thanks for looking.

There are A FEW (VERY FEW ) reputable buyers here, I do agree.

However look at the iTrader / Feedback scores and history of transactions of people you're sending information too. Most have never spent more than a few hundred on ANY PURCHASE .

Flippa is the most legitimate way to sell a website on-line.

I've sold about double the sites I've sold here through Flippa and with less work.

I would like to highlight some points.

It's not a regular site that is sold on dp. It is ranking for nearly 500 keywords. More than 30k has been spent. 1.5k to 2k per month earnings by not doing any work. In other words, this is the lowest that the site makes. The site has survived panda, penguin and all other google updates without any negative effects. The seo is solid. For a new site to rank for 500 keywords, around 50k to 100k would be required at the minimum and it would take several years of work with no guaranteed results.

The asking price is not just based on the current revenue, it's the direction it's heading. A single wholesale order down the line can make 1k to 2k. That's just 15-20 minutes of work to process that order. I know the potential of the site because I had such deals once in a while. Also, I know if I keep the site for the next 6-7 months, I will make half the asking price without spending much time and if I spend more time, I can earn much more. Also, these hats are in the trend. During November and December, the sales shoot up incredibly and remember the traffic spike is natural during these months due to festivals. Anywhere between 15k to 30k can be earned in these two months alone and more if you work on the wholesale site by this time.

Also, the wholesale aspect of the site is really untapped. The site can be a goldmine for the right buyer and I believe it can be easily resold for six figures once the real potential of the site is explored. Therefore, I am planning to keep the site if I do not get the asking price as mentioned on the thread. Thanks for looking.
