So, I have a very diverse pool of approx. 24,000 people that I can activately message through my myspace account. I have been selling music via iTunes, eMusic, Rhapsody, and Amazon, but my turn over rate is not what I expected. Although I don't think that I will abandon online stores (haven't maximized their potential), I am looking for alternative wasy to offer my music for free that will generate profit for me via advertisement or affiliates. Keep in mind that I only have a very basic understanding of how all of this works. Any suggestions?

Are you an artist yourself trying to sell your own music? Or are you trying to sell music from other artists on myspace thru the Itunes and Rhapsody affliate programs? I hate to tell you that music sales on myspace haven't turned out to be too good for 2 of my good friends.

Myspace is good bcse it exposes people to artists that they may have never known about. It's also bad bcse it's free and most people don't actually turn out for the events that the artist advertises on myspace.

My advice would be to start a website about your music. Then put adsense ads and affliate links on it to make money.
