I guess you will require some sort of licence - or you could affiliate with a legal site that has the rights to sell popular mp3's. Unless you're a billionaire, I suspect it would have to be the second option!
lol...yea not billionare yet. So what affiliates are out there? and why do you say it would be impossible bluedev?
You'll need some kind of contract/permission from each and every artist/owner, so .. everything depends on your budget. From the other side, if you can't find this information on your own, you'll not be able to handle all this mess anyway
You really can't, you would have to be established to negotiate a license deal. Its very complicated with organizations/royalties involved. Your best bet is to work with Indie artists to sell their music royalty free.
you must create a mp3 selling license to do so otherwise there might be many cases like copyrights problems and legal issues development.
Sure, you can become an affiliate for iTunes, eMusic and or EZ tracks. I use all three and the all convert pretty well.
iTunes affiliation is best and emusic is pretty good -- there are a ton of services like rhapsody which pay monthly as well
I am a big fan of the iTunes Affiliate Program. I use both iTunes and Amazon to deep link to specific songs then Napster and a few others for just banner ads. iTunes has been by far the most profitable for me. Good luck!
Why dont u try to sell them through other websites like docksnads.com, or alibaba for example. I am sure that would help.
Get ready for a copyright lawsuit if you try to sell MP3s outside an affiliate program. iTunes affiliate program is a good place to start though.
