I have a site where we are selling memberships & sponsored logo space. Not really protecting any pages yet, just selling memberships. I figured I would use a membership plugin so when someone pays for annual membership they are automatically reminded & billed a year later. Admin could also login and view or export a list of users for mailings etc. On the signup for I need to be able to add a couple custom fields to collect additional info on each signup/user. Paid Membership Pro is fairly quick & easy to setup but adding custom fields requires updating the functions.php file and then that data shows in the admin dashboard but not very clearly. The extra fields also ARE NOT exported when using the csv export link in the dashboard. S2member takes a lot longer (for me) to setup but does allow for custom fields but I think you can only export if you buy the Pro version. So I just need something that will charge via paypal for different membership levels using recurring payments and store the data for admin review & export. I have a dating site theme that came with paidMembership Pro & BuddyPress integrated. Don't need forums but with buddypress you can easily create customized signup forms with additional fields and use a plugin to export the data. Would these be easy to install individually on another theme? Any other suggestions? Thanks!!
I tried installing buddypress and paid membership pro and got it working fine. I also had "theme your login" installed and that seems to be creating a redirect problem. Now my register page that WAS working redirects to a paid membership pro page. This would normally take me to the register page: rcapa.net/register/ But instead is redirected to this page: rcapa.net/membership-account/membership-levels/ When I deactivate ThemeMyLogin then the reg page and all links to it work normally again. However, that causes my login & logout pages to just show the TML shortcode instead of the usual login & logout pages. I have a copy of the site before I installed TML and buddypress is installed with reg, login & logout pages working. This is what my reg page should be, its the buddypress reg page http://virtualgeorge.info/rcapa2/register/ Should I try a redirect plugin or maybe that would make things worse? Could it be because I did not yet update wordpress to the latest version but its not far outdated?
