Selling fully functioning search engine - Amazing design

Discussion in 'Sites' started by BRUm, Sep 2, 2006.

    I've decided I no longer want to continue work on my search engine, and to concentrate more on my other projects, so I'm selling my search engine cheap.

    What you get:

    * The domain - www.izearch.com (with namecheap.com),
    * Entire site with the PHP scripts created by myself,
    * The very original deisgn created by myself,
    * Full rights over the design and scripts,

    The site doesn't have any consistant traffic because I didn't get round to marketing.

    Getting the website to this point took me ~8 hours of coding so I'm looking for a BIN around $300.
    Min. Starting bid $50 please. :)

    If anyone's interested or has questions etc.. post here or PM me please.

    I was wondering the same thing. Did you program a crawler or are you pulling results from somewhere else?

    Yeah I'm using PHP to pull results from google. I was going to code a live crawler when people submitted there site to my searchn engine, but I really don't have time. I need to work on my CPC site ;)

    You two interested?

    I'd like more information on the search engine itself and what type of discovery it uses.

    It uses PHP's Regex to pull results from google. I was going to add yahoo and MSN later on, but I just don't have the time. It's relatively easy to adapt my code and add more search engines or even manipulate the results.

    Damn. You can't use AdSense on that search engine.

    Are you using curl or fopen to scrape the big G?

    You sure you can't use adsense? If not don't worry, I use bidvertisier, I think it's better. No I'm not using curl or fopen, although fopen is enabled.
