Is there any extra laws I'd have to abide by if selling food online? Or is it completely illegal anyway If there are laws, are they different for each country? Thanks for any help
I guess the food safety regulation would come into play here. And if you are going to deliver them, you need to ensure that they reach the customer safely, like you cannot offer mail order pizza or ice cream but should not have problem with cake mix. I know here in Singapore, Pizzahut does offer online ordering function and some restaurants do that and they will deliver within an hour or so. I did buy off some online supermarkets too and they came without issues. They do however have their own delivery team to ensure that the food stuffs are delivered in their original state, ie ice creams and frozen food are packed in syrofoam boxes with dry ice in them. You might want to check with your food enforcement agency and your state government to see if there is any regulations attached to it.
You have to register with http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~comm/foodbiz.html I think depending on where you are from it may change.
You need to worry about the licensing for delivering/making the food, not so much the online system you use for ordering it. The laws for that will likely be different for each country so you should contact someone locally with knowledge in that area.
