Well, it's really against the Facebook Terms of Service.

What type of niche are you?
How many members are you look for?

They are pretty costly, like someone I know who owned a group with over 11 million fans sold for $56,000 privately through these forums quite a while ago.

    Get real.

Its not as hard as it seems to get that many members. I have seen so many "stupid" groups get 1 million members in as little as 1-2-3 weeks.

Make a catchy group name, invite friends, encourage them to invite friends, and before you know it you will have a ton.

They are worth something, depends on the group, the size, and a few other factors. Some people will try to sell them for outrageous prices. Its recommended making your own groups that can potentially become popular rather than paying someone off who doesn't even really have that great of a group.
