Selling ebooks using clickbank?

I was wondering if any members here used Clickbank to sell eBooks they have written to get money.

If yes, how much money have you been able to make and for a period of how much time?

I was actually thinking about writing 50-100 pages books about specifics subject and sell them online to get some money. Would it be any profitable? What would be a good price?

Clickbank take a lot of money. My customers get charged about $23-24, of which I take $17.

    Profitable? Definitely.

I honestly have no idea if what you're writing about is profitable, take into consideration your competitors, what kind of sites they have, how much the keywords on adwords cost, how much they charge, the quality of their guides ect... if you have no competitors and people would actually pay for your ebook, then it obviously will be profitable.

There is another option to clickbank which is not as large yet. www.paydotcom.com That way allows you to instantly pay your affiliates also.

But it is definately the most profitable way to make money from your own product creation.

There are many many books on this subject, but if I were to pick one single information pack on it. Frank Kerns undies I pack would be it.

Yes it is expensive. But for someone completely new to this. It takes them from start to finish.

Otherwise you could spend days trying to work out exactly what you need to do. Its a case of time vs money

how do you even market a "sell ebook" site? articles don't apply. many directories don't accept you.

I think you missed the point. I'm asking if writing ebooks then selling them over clickbank would be any profitable, not if making a sell ebook affiliate "thing" would work...

Yeah I'd say go for it. I've written one ebook so far myself, and will hopefully find the time to get some more going and build up a collection, then I'll start selling them. :)

    Adwords/Forums/Wherever else you can.

I don't think directories are good for anything other than page rank and backlinks.

Good suggestion Brad, I had a look, seems interesting. Anybody can tell us their experiences with paydotcom?

The name sounds a bit funny... pay dot com DOT com! LOL :D

Joined them when they first started up.
Sold a few products via affiliates, but since so far, not enough people there, bit slow.
Mostly it seems there are more sellers and people wanting affiliates than people actually affiliating.
Have our membership site as an affiliate program there.
Plus a few people I know use them as a backup to clickbank.

Stick with clickbank, larger member base and if book is any good, a lot of people will affiliate.
