Selling complete sites?

Just wondering, let's say you have built a several thousand page site on automotives - has information for each manufacturer and info on each model the manufacturers have made. None of the info is scraped, all unique and handwritten. The site has a beautiful design, and overall the site just isn't a MFA type site.

I know this would be turn key, correct? How much would a site of this caliber sell for, complete with database and all several thousand pages?

Just wondering, I have a similar project that I built not intending to sell, but really need money. It doesn't have ads at all, but is completely auto pilot now that the content is there (would require some info about each car model once a new model is released).

Thanks for info, might find another way to come up with money and hold onto the site.

I gather there isnt any income at the moment. In this case you're really going to loss out as any buyer is not going to place anything like the value you will on the site's content.

Your best bet is to find a car enthusiast who will value the content (provided its good) more than others.

At the end the day your still just selling "possibilities" and the net is full of those!

Usually- being the operative word here.

A site generating advertising sales of $5,000 per month site in the U.K. with 70,000 visitors per day was valued in the summer of 2007 at around $15m and was sold some days later despite the the 16-17 yr old giving it the big one - saying that he still intended to keep the site and continue to work in a local DIY store on the minimum wage.
