Could you sell your .com domain even if the .net and .org tlds of that domain are still available? Should I also buy the .net and .org domains to increase my chances of selling my .com domain in sedo?
Some people who really are looking to build a good brand of their own... do prefer to get their names with all good tlds, but it is not a pre-requisite for all. Majority of the people still just concentrate only on .com and are fine doing business with just this tld. Regards, RightMan
You'l find that a majority of domain owners will have only one domain extension for their domain name, especially for the global domain extensions such as .net, .com and .org. It is absolutely fine to sell the domain name as .com only, and you will find that even if you have both the .net and .org, many people may not even be interested in the other two names. (may not want to pay for the renewal costs of all 3 domain names). Also it occurs to me that if the .net and the .org extension of the .com domain name are currently available then the name may not be valuable enough for people to really be interested in the extra extensions!
The .com should suffice. Picking up the .net couldn't hurt but I do not think that it is vital. I wouldn't even think about getting the .org unless the domain name is related to open source, charity, etc...
There are no restrictions, so you can go ahead and sell your dot com name even if there are other extensions using that particular name. No need to buy other extensions…
you dont have to because the person who really knows the importance of .com domain will never buy other extensions when the .com is available.
Yes, you can sell your .com domain even if the .net and .org tlds of that domain are still available and there is no need to buy the .net and .org domains to increase chances of selling .com domain in sedo
if the domain name is a solid keyword then securing .net .org is better choice otherwise its simply a waste investment
