Selling CableTV.com: Auction or Private Sale?

After a bit over 14 years over domain ownership, I've decided to let go of CableTV.com. I've already had offers in the $3s, but until now I've not been ready to say yes.

I'm interested in and would appreciate your response to this question:

If CableTV.com was your domain, would you place it with one of the auctions, or would you try for a private sale?

As a follow-up, if you were to use an auction, which one and why?

    Many thanks in advance!

I would try to go for auction but with a reserve. To create a bidding war you'll need to make sure interested parties are aware that you're selling the domain. I believe this way you will be able to sell your domain at its right market value.

I have had a look at your site. I am sure you could have made much more of it with a name like that...

    Good luck!
