Selling Assets: Newsletter and 900 person Opt-In list

Hello,

As I start to move from information Internet Marketing into web 2.0 with my new start up, I'm going to begin selling some assets.

First: Why am I selling this

Besides the above reason, me concetrating on my startup .com
I don't have the time to set up products or software for this list.
As of right now, I don't have anything to offer to the list, thus it is completly
brand new.

Where did they come from

The people in the list signed up to my newsletter from a Joint Venture partner
who sold information products to them.

They are highly interested in business opportunitties, at least 50% of them don't make any money online, but are really interested in pursuing it.

Have you emailed them

I have not emailed them, except for a confirmation when initially signing up. However, i have a newsletter set up for them, but I held back from sending it out because, like the above statement, I have nothing for them right now.

The first issue concentrates on the product or service you have or are creating
The second issue concentrates on the Branding and building of Credibility
and so on....

I was going to send each issue every two weeks, with one email in between each issue looking for some feedback and keeping the list responsive.

This all sounds great, what can I do with the list

There are a few things you can do, use my newsletter issues and start building a relationship with them, remember the golden thunb rule about lists, every subscriber should equal $1.00 on every campaign. For a list that has never been used this is a golden opportunity.

You can use the newsletter and list for solo ads from other marketers, for some quick return on investment.

You can simply send them an email to your affiliate product, but I highly don't reccomend that.

I reccomend you take the list and cultivate it to your own using the newsletters and information I give you.

Well like stated before every subscriber should equal $1.00 by the rule of thumb. On top of the list, I'm giving you at least 15 pages of great content.

Below are a few questions I expect to receive.

1) How do I know that the you didn't just buy the list and that it is purely genuine optins?

When you receive the list, you will be receiving the following:

The email address and the persons name, as well with each individual sign up which looks like this:

From: (the person's name)@yahoo.com
Subject: New Registar
Sent: (The date) at (Time) from (there ip address)

Name: (There name)

This is how the confirmation comes to me, and to prove it is real I keep each one of these confirmations on file, just in case there was ever a spam complaint or a problem

so now I can deliver them to you.


2) Is it ethical/legal to sell the list to another marketer?

When each individual opted in they were told we are against SPAM, never told that there information would not be sold or given away, so as for legalities, this is perfectly legal, but as for ethics, that is completely up to you as the new owner.
