Selling Selling Anime Niche Site.. $300-500 Monthly Adsense + 60 Monthly Selling Links

Hello, I'm selling my project that I've worked on for the last couple years. For those interested in the history and my reason for selling this site, read on.. if not skip to the next paragraph for some stats. When I first started this project, the site was instantly popular and got about 10k uniques a day but I didn't know how to monetize it so I couldn't fund it and hacking made managing it impossible. Back then we hosted large files (which we don't anymore). The site died for a year and we lost everything. I brought it back to life and it stood at 2k uniques a day for the longest time and made less than a dollar a day. I tried to sell it, couldn't. About 5 months ago I monetized it finally and it stood making 500+ a month. We got people to buy links, etc. so it's doing pretty well but the income is too random for my preference since the field is so comeptitive and Google is always doing weird things with this site. One minute, it'll be earning 50+ in one day then it'll earn 5 because we fly up and down the ranks. I have no idea why Google does this to me, but perhaps it could have something to do by the downtime enforced on me by my host. Who knows. There's more to it than what I'm explaining, but simply put I'm just tired of messing with this. Somebody more competant than I could do a better job. However, I won't charge what it has earned me over the past 5 months. I'm only charging the 10x income for what I made last month. Believe me, this site earned me 800 with adsense, 200 with popups, AND about a hundred through links one month. It's a beast.

Niche: Anime

Hosting: VPS. We host media, but nothing in English. We do host fan translation of the manga, but these don't suck up much bandwidth. We've been online since 06, so don't lecture me on copyrights. Our site is American hosted. I've never had an issue. FUNimation has sent me an email before about a year ago asking me not to host English episodes, but that was it. Adsense contacted me telling me they didn't want ads on download pages, which I've respected their request.

Income: Mostly through adsense.. about 300-500 monthly via adsense depending on where we stand in the ranks. Our lowest traffic ever is about 2,500 uniques a day but I've never seen it go lower than that. I have 6 people buying links at $12 monthly. Some of them have stated they would want to tack on more links later, so that's more potential. I use to have popups that made 180 monthly through adversal, but I had too many complaints about them so I removed them and I had a suspicion that Google was penalizing me for them. Call me crazy. It's the buyer's choice to put popups back on or not. Oh yeah, we also get donations. They also vary anywhere from 20-80 a month if you even count those.

Here you cn see what I mean by drastic varying income. It ranges from 5-20 a day. Also, our traffic is at a low right now which is why I'm only charging 4k instead of 6k for the site.

Wow, not to go off-topic but I was one of the people who actually went to this website and I love One Piece. I didn't know the person who made it came from DP.
Would you be interested in a partnership where if you have other projects to work on, I can keep working on the website, updating content and any profit I make I would split it 50/50 with you. You don't have to do anything, I would do all and you still make profit.

But I'm guessing you just trying to get rid of it huh?

 

Thanks for the offer, but I'm really just trying to move on. I think somebody else can do a better job running this site. Once again, I lowered the price down to 2800. I think this is as low as I will probably go though. Isn't anybody interested? Or is nobody buying because of the new year?

The site makes income through adsense AND links. In fact two yearly links will expire within a few months. That's almost 300 of your money back. Jesus christ people, I swear this forum is looking for free sites here. Stuff costs $$$!!!

Also, there's a reason the site is priced so low even though it makes so much. It had a traffic decline of 10,000 down to 3,000 two-three months ago. It's enough to startle anyone, but the traffic is a stable 3000 and I'm selling this site as is with its current income which is why I only showed it's adsense income for the past two months.

 

Yeah, mostly people want cheap stuff, but most people are in an economic state where they can barely afford anything. But, you should try Flippa, I'm sure someone will buy it and look around on here in the Website section. Their are actually people looking for PR1 websites like yours, but they are too lazy to look around. Just PM them your thread and I hope you sell it.

I know buying a site is a big investment, but I'm going to lower that risk of investment by parting with the site for 2100. I don't feel comfortable going that low, but my VPS expires on the 8th and I would like to have the new owner take the files off the host before that time. I really want to avoid transferring a site in the middle of an auction. So for ease of use on myself and those interested in the site I think 2100 is a perfect price for those who want to make a low risk investment and for me who wants to sell this quick. I'm sending this to everyone who's interested in the site right now. First one to buy the site before the 7th can have it for that price.
