I have a music related website that was taken down by the MPA/CMPA/NMPA. WE got 10,000 unique visitors per day. Since we got taken down, we now get 10,000-12,000 unique visitors per day due to the controversy. (We worked out the legal issue and are actually working with them on a new project. So don't worry about legal stuff.) Imagine, your ad being displayed to all of these people, and the site has nowhere else to click. (We forward all pages to the same page that gives a description of what happened) So they see your ad, see were down, so they click you. Its only common sense.
