Selling a website question, hostgator.

    Ok, so I am finally ready to sell one of my websites which is hosted with hostgator. The home page of the site and a few other pages were just made by me using html / css . However, the site also has a forum (phpbb) and a wordpress blog. If I was going to sell this site how would I send all the files / transfer the accounts (wordpress/ forum) to the new owner?

    So if anyone who uses hostgator or has done this before, please give me some insights for how to transfer the files when selling my site.

    What account do you hold with hostgator? reseller, etc...

    I presume you just backup all the files and mysql databases and send them to the new owner, they will set it all up on there new hosting account and then change the nameservers.

    For wordpress and I assume phpbb, you can just download the databases and the new site owner can upload them into his account. With wordpress, you can download it in .xml format.
