I have been wondering this for a while now... If a webmaster were to sell a site that was previously accepted by Yahoo! Publisher Network for their beta program, would the owner be breaking TOS by continuing to use the account? OR would the site owner be forced to transfer the account to the new owner? Any ideas?
You can't transfer YPN account. Whay not just reading the TOS section. If your account is yours, just put YPN on rest of your sites.
I am pretty sure that you can't transfer the account at all, even if you give it out for free. You are definitely welcome to use the account on your other sites though as long as they comply with the TOS of YPN... Tom
Interesting thing... I sold my site which was accepted in YPN in Dec-2005. But I never thought about it. And am not having any problems also. But don't quote me for this. It can be a bit tougher now. At that time invites were also given from yahoo itself. Now they have stopped or slowed it a bit down.
Huh? I think I need to ask more clearly. The thread is asking a question if your YPN is still within the Yahoo! Publisher TOS if you get rid of the site that is accepted. Are you still allowed to use the account on other sites?
gotcha, I thought that you were saying that you were selling a site that was displaying ads....I don't see why you couldn't see the site you applied with, as long as you have ads on other sites.
