Selling a site not indexed by Google: would you still be interested?

Howdy all,

I am contemplating selling a 1.5 years old site that has not been indexed by Google yet. Apparently, something went wrong between me and Google. There is some Yahoo traffic though. Yahoo stats: Pages (63,884) | Inlinks (6,817) . Traffic is at just about 50 uniques a day, AdSense revenue is $1.88/day on average.

The general theme of the site is housing/finance but you might branch it out to home improvement just as easily. The template and overall design very basic, needs work. The type of the site as it is right now is forum-ish. The software that runs it is a proprietary clone of a once-popular forum software.

So, the general question is: would the respectable public still be interested to buy knowing that Google does not like the site?

The more specific question would be: how much would a site like that be worth?

Was it penalized for duplicate content? The site is not worthless, but worth less if penalized. Tell us more.

It is based mostly on re-purposed syndicated content, so your suggestion may very well be true. However, I have other sites based on the same concept (in different niches) and none of them have been penalized to the extent this site was. There has been no offsite trickery with links (other than DP COOP - taken down long time ago) or spam done to the site. There are some blog links to the site that the new owner will inherit.
