Hey everyone, ok i have the domain name http://www.natu.co.uk

Ive had contact that a company wants to buy this for $5k with me being in the UK this works out to probably around £2.5k.

This is my first domain sale obviously this is profit, but do you think i should hold out for more, see if others are interested or what?

Any info is appreciated, am i getting ripped off selling for $5k or is this a generous offer?

You can have a look at sedo.com an compare prices. I think the best co.uk would go for $10k
the seller of natu.org expects 1000 USD . You can also put the domain on sedo and see if there is any interest.
    I would sell it for $5k .

I would sell for $5k probably after doing a little more research. Its a 4 letter domain name which has high value. But what kind of keyword is natu? Also the domain has no page rank.

Just make sure its not a scam, and they don't want you to pay for a domain evaluation etc. At $5k that is way way overpriced for what it is so its making me think this is going to turn out as a scam attempt. Good luck.

Try Domain Name After Market, it provide you with a great opportunity to get your domains seen and sold... specially with featured listings ;)

However Sedo stays the #1 domains market, give it a try as well.

Better than both: Contact the targeted company by email with your offer and a sales letter, they have already expanded to support the US Market lately ;)
Good for you...They should be very interested in those domains :D

Definitely. Any mention of that and you would do well to leave the person in your rear view mirror, without looking at the mirror yourself either. Of course, you could always turn the tables, too, as in requiring a service fee for getting an "appraisal" much higher that the "appraisal" fee itself. :D I got one of those in a follow-up email just recently, something kind of like "ok, how about $90,000 USD - sure, only I'll just need you to go to this site you've never heard of first to look into getting an appraisal..." Then a quick search led me to another forum where there were plenty of fellow netizens getting the same song and dance.

Perhaps you could even post the message you got here if you want, minus the domain and other details, and we could all give our thoughts to help you either avoid being scammed or losing a good prospective buyer.

P.S. Is "natu" a significant term in the UK market?

Thanks everyone, its not really a keyword although a big skin care brand has brought out a natur range which is close.

I think its a natural health company that wants it.

Hopefully their not scam as i could do with getting rid of it fast, for funding for my other project.

This could be above top dollar for this one, and you might want to not pass it by if it's not a scam. For instance, here in the US I doubt most would pass by $5K for the .com as well as the .us, unless there was a compelling reason. Admittedly it could be substantially different for that term in the UK, but then again, I'm not hearing anything suggesting that so far. Sounds more like an excellent sale if it's legit.

I recommend using escrow.com to do the transaction so that both seller and buyer are protected. Good luck.

Thanks for the information and ill def use escrow.

I havent heard back from them how long should i give them, note it wasnt through DP it was in a email.

If i did id start at $2.5k so that would be about a grand my money.

Might not sell it anymore though having seconds thoughts as i could develop a hell of a site and earn money through ads and affiliates.

    Hmmm?

I would seriously encourage you to try and sell the domain with rick latona The guy is a serious domainer as well as premium domain auctioneer. He is having a big auction in Australia and rolling out a big print campaign. He only charges if the domain sells and he tends to get high prices as he usually deals with high end domainers.

Nice one smithj ill take a look into this guy very soon.

Ive emailed the original company who wanted to buy saying they have a week to tell me if they proper want it or its going.

Although in the back of my mind i know soo much about the alternative health industry i could probably make 20k+ with a site like this so might be a regret selling it.
