3 dollar CPM? What kind of visitors do you have? Multi-millionaires guaranteed to buy whatever product we're selling? That must be some GREAT highly converting traffic you have there.
I know what CPM stands for, but I was confused as to what that person was saying. Their acting as though this is an outrageous price. Example: most PTC sites sell 1,000 impressions for $14.95+ $2.99 is more then generous for a start off
There is a quite difference between PTC sites like AdBux etc and a simple bannner on a site, for starters PTC sites guarantee "X" number of clicks, a banner on your site is unlikely to have a CTR of anything more than 2%, so the most anyone could expect is 20 or so clicks, you then have to think most of these will not convert for the advertiser, so in this case for basic banner ads your price unfortunately is way too high. You are also going to find it hard to sell a low number, like 1000 impressions, to a private advertiser, you are probably best using an ad network like adsense etc.
