    Sellers attract other sellers!

I recently opened a website called ReelClassifieds.com. It is basically a site to place classified ads selling used fishing equipment. I plan to charge a very small listing fee and charge no commission.

I am already listed on Google at number 5 for one of my keywords (used reels). I have not aggressively pushed any keywords yet because I am already getting traffic from Google, Yahoo, and a few forums I belong to. Now the problem.

People will not sign up to sell their equipment, even for free for the first few! What should I do to get people to sign up? I understand you don’t want to list things on a site that seems to not have traffic, and would not be able to sell your item, so how do I get over that initial hurdle?

I know I am competing against Ebay, but I am okay with that, as I know it is a service that will be used once it starts being used (odd sentence I know).

Any and all criticism of the site as well as ideas are welcome!

If you're going down the route of ebay, PLEASE don't froget the sellers support as it's none existant on ebay.

If you ever have a problem with a buyer or other seller, they do not want to know. I experienced this being a
gold powerseller - so much I closed my store and I started selling online.
