20 days ago I bought a second hand license for a script from someone for $350. Today, I noticed that my license had been suspended and upon contacting the developers I was told that the original buyer had issued a charge back on his credit card and that that was the reason for the suspension. Now I am wondering how I can get my money back. I sent these $350 as "Goods". I know that PayPal do not cover intangible goods so I really need your advice. What shall I write in the file dispute to have the best chance of winning this dispute and get my money back?
If you tell paypal that you never received the item you have a shot. It you say you received it and it was materially different than advertised or that it was faulty, you'll lose for sure.
Ya,....Claim that you never received the script.... If you have sent the seller some mail like - "Thanks I got the script" or "Got it man, thanks", and if he still has it, then even the above option won't help you...
Open dispute on google, and tell them that you never really received any item. You might get your money back in that situation.
Man, I lost about $500 through paypal. I bough this part for my uncle and paid the seller. Well, not only did the seller not send me the part, but he also didn't even answer my email. I filed a claim on paypal and was able to get only $200 back. So ye, if the seller still has the money in the account you might get the refund.
Okay. Here is my suggestion: Go to paypal or call them. File a dispute of "Good not Received". Wait for the seller's reply. If he does not reply, you get your money back in 10 days. As simple as that. And remember, Paypal is always inclined towards buyers!!
write a mail to paypal, and say you have never got the item. Maybe paypal would refund you if the seller has money in his account. It will take some time.
Start off with a dispute. If you lose the dispute and you paid with a credit or debit card, do a chargeback.
Why did you buy it from this guy and not straight from the developers in first place if I may ask? And yes, in this case I believe paypal will stand on your side. Just give them a call
I once was in the same situation - although I didn't receive the item at all. PayPal only refunded $2.00 of the $70 I paid, so I was out $68 without an item.
file a charge back on the seller. saying that it was not there product to sell you and said license was suspended apon trying to activate your script, also add that the seller is selling fraudulant items that they do not have resell rights too nor any right to sell you the script and that you want a full refund for the cost of the item you were scammed by purchaseing.
You encourage this person to lie. He received the script, he should have contacted the firm that made the script to tell he is the new owner. You lost your money. If you say at paypal that you never received what you paid for and that person gives proofs that he gave it to you, you`ll loose for sure.
