Me and a friend of mine might start in the new year selling TVs online(and off) Can anyone recommend a payment system that a bit more seller friendly than paypal I am worried about charge backs Its one this on a digital ebook at 20USD its another thing when it commes to an 600€ TV
You can opt for moneybookers and Alert pay. I have never use them but heard many good reviews about them in comparison with PayPal. Regards
yes, chargebacks are not related to you payment processor. You need to take cash if you are not legit. That way you have the money before the mark knows he was ripped off.
May be because they charge such a commission, why people hate paypal. But it shouldn't be a reason to admit that they are the leading payment processing system around. I heard of a new system to come soon which won't charge any commission for the transations of $2500 per month. Let's wait and see.. Solace
I am not trying to rip anyone off We are getting the TVs from a wholesaler What I am worried about is some one buys a TV we ship it to them then they give a charge back we have to pay them back the money but they keep the TV
Since you intend to deliver physical goods, you will have the shipment number and all the details related to it which you can easily forward to Paypal as supporting documents. There would be lesser chances of chargebacks not awarded in your favor by Paypal.... I guess. Regards, RightMan
You are always exposed to chargebacks if a cc is involved. You will need good controls and I suggest getting lined up with a collection agency. re commissions, paypal is good considering CNP transactions. You will be hardpressed to find a better rate for CNP.
You can try MoneyBookers since they offer both options of with and without chargeback protection. Obviously the fees is much higher for the protection but if you make good margins, it is worth it in my opinion.
