Is there any way to recive payment for website directly from buyer( eg. Western Union) and to protect him and yourself from being scamed. I think some kind of contract which both will sign. Is escrow only way to do this and if it is which escrow do you use?
Western Union doesn't provide the buyer with security....but it gets the seller their cash. Contracts are ok, but online, how do you know the person signing the contract is really that person? If the main concern is security on both ends, use escrow services provided by escrow.com. Contracts are great as long as you can confirm the identity of the individual signing them.
A contract can be good - but let's face it - sometimes very difficult to enforce if you are in one country and the other person is in the other country. With Western Union, once the seller gets his / her money, there is very little that can be done to get it back. This can be a good thing for the seller - no chargebacks etc - but bad for the buyer. If you are worried about what you might be buying, an escrow service might be the way to go
I want to sell sites trough western union but also I want to secure buyer, so I will have smooth sales, not based on trust.
I use western union or moneygram all the time when selling a site if the buyer can not meet in person.
It all depends on what the buyer wants. If I'm forking over my $$ for a site, I would never use Western Union. (I like receiving money that way though...no fees!) Those Nigerian scammers prefer MoneyGram and BidPay.
So, what is wrong with PP? They are the only ones that I use, however if the sale is over $100 I insist that they are verified.
Yes but with western union I can get money after 5 minuters. This is good. Here in Serbia paypal is not posibble and checks from Stormpay etc... When I get check I must take it to bank and wait another 3 weeks to cash it. They are sending it back to America or somewher to cash it. What idiots! You understand my problem now. Any other solutions? How escrow works?
I'll suggest Moneybookers and their escrow service for all European countries. It works very well, it's a UK based e-money solution. At least it has worked for me :-D B.
They are most likely NOT sending it back to the US. Remember, a check is just a piece of paper at first. your bank is just waiting a couple of weeks until the check is validated, and until the bank actually has revieved the money from the US bank where the check was signed. Totally normal business practice for foreign currency checks, although you might be lucky and you are valued enough by your bank that they will advance you the money on the check.
