How can I set up a website to sell restaurant gift cards? There is a site that does this, and I noticed that their payment processing is done with Authorize.Net. So, I called up Authorize.Net to ask if they could handle the physical mailing of the gift cards. The answer was 'no, we don't offer that'. (I thought it would be nice if the payment processing was also handled by the company that mails, distributes, and 'charges-up' the gift cards.) Next, I just called up FirstData, and the sales rep thinks they can probably do it, and will 'get back to me'. I have no idea how this works or who to uses at this point. We (my partner and I) would send plastic gift cards that can be passed through a credit card swiping machine at a particular merchant (typically a restaurant). i.e., each gift card is only good at one merchant. Which on-line service could provide these gift cards? Thanks. .
