Hi, when i think to sell some script or anything, came up to my mind this question. i going to put this in a example then i can explain it better: let say i have a joomla template and i want to sell it, let say a template like this normally cost like $50, you think it's better sell it in $80 - $100 or offer it in $10 - $30? the question basically it's, today, you can win more selling the product more than it cost normally or less than it? what do you think it's the best strategy? Regards, Shadow.
you need to make it cheap enough that most people will be able to buy it and expensive enough so people know they are getting a quality product. you also need to take into account how much you need to make per sale to cover expenses and make a profit. you should look at other companies selling similar products and see how much they are selling it for. if your just starting out, you will need to under bid them to win sales but if your established, then you can probably price it about the same. hope this helps.
For me, I would go high. If I can't sell it in a certain amont of time, I'd lower it, a little at a time, until it is at my rock-bottom price.
Try to focus on who you are targeting. Are you selling something unique that people want so bad that they will pay alot money just to get it (set high price) - or you are selling a product that potential buyers can easily find other alternatives to? (set low price) Thanks
It takes just as much effort to sell cheap products to customers as it does to sell expensive products to customers. More expensive items means less customers and less customer service related issues as well.
are you sure? dont cost less to sell a products if it's 30%-50% more cheaper than normal? i ask why i ignore this things Regards, Shadow.
its depend on quality. if quality is good then high price. and it it is lower quality then low price. I really like to have high quality and low price. and play with numbers of sales. Quantity of sales is important and then those buyers you can convert in future for other similar niche products.
