Sell articles directly on DP or buy a domain, build a website with my articles ??

    Hi

All right, so I wrote some medical articles this week. My goal when I started writing those articles was to sell them on this forums, but now that they're written, I'm wondering, should I build a website with the articles, buy a domain, find a good hosting, publish the site and sell it ?? How much do you think I could make with this ?? Also, if I decide to keep my article and build the website, should I work on it some weeks, try to get it on google, get some traffic... ?? You know what I mean. So, basically, my question is, when and how should I sell this content ??

    Thank You Guys

How many articls do you have. If you have at least 8 you can make a very simple adsence niche site about it and then sell the entire website for a good amount more then you would just make by selling the articles. If you only have like 2 then just sell them by them selves because by them selves they are not helpful.

It really depends on what you are looking to accomplish with the whole idea....

-Do you want this to be a side project that you don't really care how long it takes, you just want as big of a return as possible?

If so, then just buy a domain, publish the articles, build links and traffic, and then monetize the site with an affiliate or adsense and either hang on to it for the profits, or just sell it for a large amount of cash. The more traffic and income the site has, or even pagerank, the more money you will get for it.

-If you just want the most money in the shortest time....

Then just buy a .info or .com domain and publish the articles and then sell the site right away as is. You should be able to get about $150 at the least for a 10 article Mini Niche site with unique content. Just make the site look nice with a wordpress theme or a nice website template.

-Want to experiment with the content and make some affiliate sales?

Build a blogspot blog and use some PLR content or post some ezine articles to make content for the blog, and then in the sidebar you can put all your affiliates. Then take your 10 articles and publish them on various websites including squidoo, ezinearticles, hubpages, etc... And place the link to your blogspot blog in all the published articles. This could build traffic by publishing your unique content, and then you monetize the traffic with your affiliate programs on the blogspot blog.

Those are just a few ideas, hope they help!

    Good Luck!

    Like content4cash27 said :)

The key here is how fast and how much you want the money rolling in. If you've already owned a web site or blog, you would have understood the work involved in setting up these sites, but the passive income is worth it. Writing articles may promise you more money now, but it's constant hard work.

Where would you sell your site to get $150 for such a niche site?

DP Forums would be tough to pull in $150 for a brand new niche site, even with unique content. Maybe in about a month after doing some serious link building and establishing traffic, you then might be able to fetch about $150 from DP.

If you want to sell the site quickly, then I recommend sitepoint. You will need to be able to come up with a clever ad for your auction. Try taking a look at the other auctions on sitepoint in the turnkey sites section, and copy the way that they have layed out the information in their auction.

Make sure your site looks like its worth $150, this can easily be acheived with a nice template and some creative article structuring to make the pages look nicer.

    Hope that helped!

    Good Luck!

DP is not the best for either. They pay the lowest for articles and will always try to pay the lowest for sites. Try sitepoint for sites and WF for articles.

I like what content4cash27 said, it really depends on what you really need. Just to add a superficial note, it's important that the site look nice, or at least be easy to read. A lot of so-called article sites I come across look like splogs and that's kind of a turn-off for buyers.

see how much time you invested in writing the articles to what you would get here.
a normal medical article for 500 words would go from 3-6$ a piece, depending on the quality. (almost everyone buying will ask for a sample para or something)
If the content is unique (unique as in not copyscape unique, but information that is probably not there elsewhere) then i suggest you make a simple wordpress blog and publish your articles. If the articles are merely a rewrite then sell it to someone who already has a website of that niche.

If you are willing to put in a little hardwork, then build a site, get a few plr ebooks, offer them on your site for a low cost, write more content for the user and build a user base. This plus adsense will be far more benefitial than an immediate 50$.

You should not sell this content by opening a thread if you looking for a good price.
The time to sell is when there is a people opening a thread then state that he want to buy that particular kind of article, then i'm sure you can sell your article at high price coz people demand it.

You hit the bull's eye man!

Also keep track of such clients that you feel would need articles in future too. They are your best returning customers as they have already seen your quality and work and would trust you easily as compared to some new ones!
