    Hello,
I have success develop website working since 2004.
There is an invest company that wanna buy 80% from my website (domain name + contents + scripts).
They ask me to transfer the domain name when closing the contract.
The question, How can i protect my 20% for my domain name?
Is there a domains compnay for registering domain name for two persons?
Means, any changes on the domain control panel, must have two person agreement.

    Thanks guys.

Sounds like you will need some legal advise along with legal documents signed by both parties to assure everything goes correctly

IMHO, Either keep it yourself or sell it 100% and walk away. A part ownership deal is just asking for trouble. Once you give the other party your domain and website passwords you have lost all control. You cannot put two owners in the WHOIS. I wouldn't recommend it but the only way would be to start a registered partnership and put the domain in the partnership's name.

Partnerships and legal agreements are just pieces of paper. If they renege on the contract then you still have to pay and go to court to to enforce it. I wouldn't even consider a partnership in this case unless you are both in the same city or county.

am not really sure about this..
you will still need a legal agreement for this deal..
and, also, CMIIW, you will absolutely loose your right of that domain if you transfer it to them..

maybe others can add some opinion for you...

Sounds suspicious to me, have not heard of an 80% investment before, be sure you know who you are dealing with or risk losing it all!

yea it sounds suspicious. Maybe you should use the services of Escrow.com and they might be able to help you solve this problem but I would recommend not to do anything on you own because you can lose your domain and the website once they have it and not pay you the other 20%.... Check with Escrow.com to see if they can be of any help.:)
