As a growing Internet marketer it would be fine if we can practice selecting keywords without using any keyword selection or keyword research tools. There is nothing like the human mind when it comes to exploring new ideas and thoughts. This could be true even in the case of keyword selection. Any comments?

A philosophical take on Keyword Research? WOW !
I guess you could choose a few keywords on the basis of your brand / relevance. But for the tricky keywords, proper research around the keyword is advisable.

You can do this to some extent but there is nothing better than quantitative data obtained from keyword research tools. You might be sure you have thought of an unbeatable keyword but only data will tell you whether this keyword is popular or competitive.

There is no harm in selecting keywords manually as long as they are relevant to your products or services. However, tools can your improve your selection.
