Selecting a new domain

I am in the process of selecting a domain for an Amazon affiliate site. I have done keyword research and have my products picked out. I was wanting a few opinions on which would be the best way to go.

The main keyword is 20 characters and 3 words. Now of course, that is way to broad, well it is in this niche at least.

I can get a EMD with 4 keywords and 23 character .net domain.
Sites in Google index is about 64700 and estimated exact match search is 12100 for the key phrase.

a 5 keyword 21 character .net domain is available with 27800 sites, and 4400 exact match. this key phrase is not quite what I was looking for, but it is still very doable for the niche.

To get a .com domain, I found a 31 character 5 keyword exact match one with about 13600 sites in Google, and an exact match of 1900.

I could list several other combinations, but I won't.

My first thoughts are to go with the first domain. Although it is a .net, it is probably second best to the .com domains.
I guess it comes down to is it better to have a .com domain that is longer with more keywords, or a shorter .net domain.
and does the length of time the domain is registered for matter? When purchasing it, is one year fine, or should I register it for three years?

    Thanks,
    Michael

Possibly not worry so much about squeezing keywords into the domain, as making sure the site itself is presentable, Google-friendly, and user-friendly.
Long domain web sites look spammy...
