Is there anyway to format the select tag whether it be CSS or Javascript? I've looked around online but can't really find much on it.
You can do basic styling with CSS, as shown in this article. To do anything else, you need to use Javascript or JQuery. There are plenty of JQuery plugins for changing form controls, so it's not as bad as it sounds

Look through all of them, still can't figure out how to edit them with jQuery. I've also done a couple Google searches about it but I cannot find anything.
I already know how to do all that. I know how to format a lot of them but I don't know how to make it have curved edges and highlight color when you highlight the items.
