Select an obscured object in Sharepoint Designer 2007?

I'm editing a page (not sharepoint) in Sharepoint Designer and it's dominated by an iframe which has a div with image floating over it. When I view the site in IE the image is sitting over the iframe like it's supposed to (it's z-indexed) but within Sharepoint Designer it's stuck under the iframe  I can maniplulate the code but I want to be able to drag it, I just can't select it in Design View. Even if I select it using the tag tabs at the top of the screen it still doesn't come to the surface so I can actually see it.

There will be hundreds of pages based on this template and they'll need to be edited so visually placing the image would be alot easier than tweaking the coordinates bit by bit. Can anyone help?

Okay I figured out a workaround where I give the DIV coordinates outside the iframe and then I select and drag it. It disappears again as soon as I put it back on the iframe but as long as my cursor is on it I can place it semi-accurately. Not exactly perfect, there still must be a way to see it over the iframe in sd.
