anyone else notice activity with their Google traffic and SERP's? Maybe G is implementing it's new algorithm?

Perhaps you could sight some examples, how you saw the changes etc.

Personally not seeing anything odd, just the usual traffic increases on the run up to Holidays.

I have a website for a very competitive niche. I've been tracking the SERPs for it for the last 3 things.
From start of november till 30th of November I moved from #116 to #95. However, from 30th of november till 3rd of december I moved from #95 to #80, which is a very big jump. And i haven't done very much for it.
So yeah, I think something is changing, and I like it very much :) My site which is less than 2 months old already bypassed my main competitor, which is 2,5 years old and with PR 5 (and very good backlinks). And i'm just PR 0 :p

Perhaps there is more movement lower down the serps. Most of what I track is 1st page stuff so it makes sense that the changes would be smaller.

Hope things keep moving up for you :)

The SERPs change often. There is nothing unusual about that. I have not seen anything differnent than occurs all the time on Google.

I just run a scan and nothing unusual here and i'm tracking dozens of sites and keywords, but like sunnymonkey it's mostly page one terms.

*waves to rand fiskin* SEOmoz is one spot in front of me again, we have been switching places like this for months. :)

The shifts in all the terms i'm tracking is between plus 10 spots or minus 5 spots, nothing outside this range so all normal.

Yup, just done some more checks, not really anything to report. Just sounds like your new site (under 6 months) is starting to get established is all. :)

Nothing major to report my end, have seen some movement but nothing to write home about since the last big update.
